In 1953, Warner Bros. released a short entitled Bully for Bugs where Bugs Bunny played a matador. PETA would have been all over this if they were around back then! Bullfighting was extremely popular in the 1950’s and there were a ton of moving and shorts based on this same story. Huge names like Laurel and Hardy, Abbot and Costello, the Three Stooges, and Martin and Lewis all made films where the main storyline revolved around bullfighting and the same scenario we see in this classic Chuck Jones animated Bugs Bunny cartoon.
