INKtober 2021 – DAY 16 – Porky Pig as Friar Tuck
From the same animated short as yesterday’s INKtober drawing, today we see Porky Pig as Friar Tuck as interpreted by cartoonist Davy Jones. I was never a fan of Chuck Jones’ style. I know I have angered a ton of diehard Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry fans. I met Chuck Jones thirty years ago and he was more interested in flirting with my brother’s girlfriend than he was at talking to me who was the only one actually interested in talking with him. I lost my admiration for him at that point. Never meet your heroes, unless that hero is me. Meet me and you will get all of my attention.
