INKtober 2021 – DAY 12 – Jack Skellington and Sally from A Nightmare Before Christmas
Talk about soul mates! Jack Skellington and Sally are the ultimate example of TRUE soul mates. I had to draw these two characters to replace the two drawings I sold at Bell County Comic Con. I really thought that the cast from A Nightmare Before Christmas would sell like crazy at my show appearances, but they really do not move. Even my mini prints do not move. I retired the mini prints a few months ago because they just sit. I do love having a full set of original sketch cards in my portfolio because they look awesome and show off my inking and coloring skills. The crazy thing is the fact that the blogs I created in the past showcasing the other Nightmare Before Christmas cards rank at the top of my overall page view stats on my website. People love to look at these guys, but they just don’t want to purchase the art. Fandom is a hard nut to crack.
