INKtober 2021 – DAY 13 – King of the Hill, I’ll tell you what….
I can still remember watching this very first episode when it aired back in 1997. It seems like that was yesterday, I’ll tell you what. The expectation I held was for the show to be as weird and obscure as with Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butthead. As the first episode progressed I realized I was watching a television show on an entirely new level. This was a show for the entire family and I dare say it was the Flintstones of the new era.
In case you are unaware, The Flintstones was originally created to be a show for the entire family and also aired in a prime time slot in the 1960’s. Pay close attention when you watch the original episodes of the Flintstones and you will notice that a lot of the stories are very adult in nature, especially for the 1960’s.
For this first set of cards for INKtober2021, I focused on the main Hill family. Tomorrow, I will showcase the crazy cast that made up this insanely amazing show about a little town in the great state of Texas! CHECK THEM OUT!
