Charmy leaned back in his chair at The Candy Bar, glaring at Flimp, who was pacing around the stage. “This is a disaster waiting to happen,” he muttered.

“Oop app oop!” Flimp declared confidently into the mic.

Frenchy translated for the room: “He says, ‘Why did the scarecrow win an award?’”

The audience tilted their heads in curiosity. Flimp paused dramatically, his tiny purple hat tilted at a jaunty angle.

“Oop app oop!”

Frenchy burst into laughter as she delivered the punchline. “Because he was outstanding in his field!”

The crowd roared with laughter, and even Charmy’s mouth twitched before he scowled again. “Oh, sure, laugh it up. I’m surrounded by people who find crop-based humor amusing.”

Frenchy translated: “He says, ‘Thanks, everyone! Try the banana lattes—unlike Charmy, they’re actually a-peeling!’”
