DAY 19!!!! I have been writing a simple blog entry every single day and my web traffic has grown into a 40 foot monster! My traffic has exploded. I had a few 8,000 unique visit days. Before INKtober, my average was 75 visitors per day.
IS THIS REAL TRAFFIC?
Yes it is! My post likes have went from an average of NONE to 6. Besides that, I can see where people are coming from and how long they are staying on my pages. It is real traffic from real people. Upon average, people are staying on a page an aveage of 32 seconds. That may not sound like a lot, but it only takes ten seconds to read the strips in my archive which is where most traffic is flipping through. Each strip is on a separate page. So when you look back at the “average”, this means the people who are checking out a blog post are spending a minute or more so they are actually reading my blog. Wow, people are reading this stuff!!! I better write better content.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
Once my comic con in Tyler is finished, I will begin adding some some new segments. The one main segment will be “Cartoonist Spotlight” where I feature a fellow cartoonist and discuss their dreams and ambitions, and explore their accomplishments and accolades. I want to begin with Rick Brooks. I have never met a more talented and ambitious cartoonist. Plus, he is just an awesome guy.
INKTOBER DAY 19!
Today, I have inked up Jack Skellington. I am going to get this colored next week so I can sell it at Tyler Comic Con. This will be an awesome show! It will be my last big show of the year and my last big show until Comicpalooza in May. I want to make Tyler Comic Con a memorable show so this set of cards featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas will be my centerpiece. I have made each of these character my own by incorporating my style into these classic characters. It was a TON of fun!
Stay TOON’ed for tomorrow’s INKtober as we finish off the set featuring The Nightmare Before Christmas.
