I am trying to develop my own style based upon the DC Animated Universe. Here is my first attempt at Supergirl!

Yes, I am now doing some “Fan Art” to support my show appearances. Fan Art is art drawn my artists depicting characters whose rights are not owned by the artists. You are drawing these characters because you are a fan. I swore early on that I would only draw my characters as art for my show appearances. I do mash my original characters with popular characters, but I consider that “parody art” and not fan art.

Well, I finally began breaking even this year and I know it can easily take a bad turn. It takes one very bad show and I will be back in the hole. For years I have watched my artist’s alley neighbors raking in money producing fan art. I have no choice but to sell my soul and create fan art. Greater Austin Comic Con will be the first show where I will unleash a ton of original sketch cards upon the crowds. My goal is to add at least $200 to my profits. My fear is that this fan art will take away from my comic strip art. If that IS the case, I may have to rethink the selling of my soul.
