HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY & CHEAP TRICK DAY!

Yeah, I thought about writing a fake post and then announcing it was all a lie because it was April Fools day. That is just not my style. These days, everything is going so well for me and my comic strip that an April Fools gag might just jinx my mojo.

It is also NATIONAL CHEAP TRICK DAY!!!! Anyone who knows me, is sick of my passion for the greatest rock and roll band of all time, Cheap Trick. That said, no one wants to hear me rant on and on about this amazing rock band from Rockford Illinois. Outlining their career would turn people away from my blog. I mean, really… who wants to hear the history of a band who is a first time inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Who cares really, right?

Well, I could talk about them for hours but I do not want to lose my audience’s attention. If you are a super fan of Cheap Trick, I offer you a very happy National Cheap Trick Day.

REALITY BITES

Today’s comic strip delivers a strong message. Sometimes we think little arguments are important. By nature, we all have a need to be the person in the right. It is impossible at times for us to admit we are wrong. Admitting we are wrong means we are defeated. We play life to win. Sometimes we do not see the bigger picture. Our disagreements can overshadow a greater need and overshadow is what’s REALLY important.

This is the lesson we learn today.

Sorry, but sometimes I actually put deep meanings into my comic strip.

The butterfly represents life. People see life differently. Everyone has their own opinion on how one is to live life. When someone disagrees with how they see life, they swear the views of others is wrong. For some, their views are so extreme that they refuse to see the beauty that is life. We are all just one hungry bird away from losing our precious butterfly.
