DELAYED POST!

So, I caught a MONSTER case of the flu. For three days I was miserable. I tried to go into work on Monday and that is when I hit rock bottom. I feel a little better today, well enough to finally write my blog and send everyone this week’s comic strip. I apologize for the delay.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I have so much to be thankful for this year. My goals for 2018 were mostly achieved. I am going to break dead even this year with my comic con appearances. They produced no earnings and saw no losses. Dead even. After losing so much money last year, I am very happy with my show run. If I had just eliminated 4 bad shows, I would have made good money this year. I am cutting back next year, doing only the good shows. That said, I am not doing Comicpalooza but that is NOT because it was a bad show. Comicpalooza was my BEST show. I have a family obligation that weekend.

I had a goal of landing three new newspapers running Charmy’s Army. That was a crazy goal. I landed two new newspapers and I am satisfied with this. I count this goal as completed. I am now running in 5 newspapers in 5 different states. These are all weekly newspaper so we are talking about making enough money to pay for my art supplies all year. Copic markers and sketch covers are expensive. The funds will also help flip the bill for printing my next two comic books.

I hope everyone has an amazing Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I am going to stay home this year. I will be missing my family. Thanksgiving is the only time of the year I see them anymore. Stupid flu.
