INKtober Day 23 – Doc’s Hand as Thing

Okay…. yes… this could be anyone’s hand. I promise this is the hand of Doc from my comic strip Charmy’s Army. This INKtober installment may look simple, and it is, but wait’ll you see this in color. It actually look amazing.

In the original series, Thing was most often portrayed by Ted Cassidy…. the 6 foot nine inch actor who also played Lurch. Imagine hiding that huge guy underneath tables during shoots! Yes, the production crews had a HUGE job on their hands. Whenever Lurch and Thing had a scene together then various crew members would lend a “hand” for the shoot.

Sorry. That was a bad pun. It is a true fact though.

Gotta go prep for San Antonio and Alamo City Comic Con.
