INKtober Day 20 – Flimp the Chimp as Cousin Itt

I learned something today!!!! Itt is spelled with TWO t’s. I always thought the spelling was Cousin It…. but the correct spelling in Cousin Itt. In the feature film, the spelling was used with only ONE t. I am a fan of the original television series where the spelling used TWO t’s. Tow T’s “Itt “is.

Today’s mashup showcases Flimp the Chimp from my comic strip as Cousin Itt. This only makes sense since Cousin Itt is so small. Also Cousin Itt speaks an odd language just like Cousin Itt. This is a mashup made in Heaven!

Being such an iconic figure in the Addams Family, it is crazy to think that Cousin Itt only appeared in 19 of the 64 episodes of the original series. Sadly, the original series only ran for two seasons. As great and classic as the original series was, all of the following adaptaions, in my mind anyway, never held the power of the original. The casting was so perfect. The timing was so amazing. The writing was timeless.

I am so inspired now to create a crossover comic book with my characters. I need to write it up, create a good character study guide and find out who owns the rights to The Addams Family. Man, if the syndicates only knew what they are missing out on by not picking up Charmy’s Army. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Go Comics or King Features can see what I see and what my fans see. I could get my dream projects actually moving with their backing. Just gotta keep working hard and continue praying. It will happen.
