INKtober Day 17 – Charmy as Uncle Fester

We continue INKtober with the Addams Family mashups today with Charmy as Uncle Fester. Today I again used the original television series as a reference. I love Christopher Lloyd and believe he is an amazing character actor. The only role Christopher Lloyd ever portrayed that I did not like was his rendition of Uncle Fester. He was too “tight” with the performance/ Jackie Coogan owned the role and looked so natural. Christopher Lloyd looked uncomfortable in the role and his performance felt “forced”. That is my opinion anyway.

I will continue the Addams Family mashups tomorrow and may extend the mashups. There are so many characters to mashup. I had planned on stopping tomorrow with Flimp as Pugsley, but this series is turning out very well. I am thinking about adding Zana as Wednesday for Friday. That sounds a bit odd, right?

Oh course, if I do extend this series, I may want to rethink the lineup. Turtle may be a better Pugsley. That would let me move Flimp into the role of Cousin It. Then we just need a Lurch and a Grand Ma Ma. Lunch Lady is a no brainer for Grand Ma Ma. That leaves either Doc, Blue or Sarge for Lurch. I will play around with these sketch cards tomorrow.
