INKtober Day 7 – Charmys as Rick Sanchez

I have had an idea for a print for nearly a year but I have yet  to get the idea drawn up. The idea involves Charmy and Flimp mashed up with Rick and Morty. I cannot get motivated because my prints just do not sell. To be honest, unless you are doing a straight up post of Deadpool or Harley Quinn, you are not making money selling prints. My mashups are fun, but they are not making me any money… so I have not had the motivation to create a new print.

That said, the comic books are selling well. This is where I need to focus my energy next year. I will only do a few shows while I try and work up a few more comic books. I have some crazy stories in store for everyone and will need the time away from the shows to focus my energy on production work.

I also want to try getting some guest artist work on something. I can adjust my style as needed and would love to write and illustrate a Spongebob Squarepants story or maybe a Rick and Morty story. Both comic book series are fun and would be a great achievement for my career and for my dream.

Gotta go make my comic strips for the newspapers. Busy day!!!!
