INKtober Day 2
Here is Charmy as Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. I think this came out really good. I am now waiting for Disney’s lawyers to come knocking on my door. Hopefully, they will be bearing a contract to sign Charmy to a film deal… rather than the lawyers carry papers filing a lawsuit siting copyright infringement. I believe I can hide behind “parody laws”. Does that really exist? For my sake, I hope so!
I love the line work on this one. I will color this in time for Alamo City Comic Con so I can offer small print versions of this mashup. I do not make much money with the print cards, but I think that is because I do not have a lot of cards on display currently. The more offerings I add, the more money these baseball card sized prints will eventually bring in to me. I wish more artists would make these tiny prints because that would drive the demand and make these little prints fly off the tables of artist’s alley.
I sell the originals at my shows. They are all colored with gray markers and sell for only ten bucks. These are not big money makers, but I do not look at them like that. I do my shows to give back to my readers and supporters. To me, the print cards and the original sketch cards are lower price points for readers on a budget who want a print or an original piece of art from me.
Twenty nine more days to do in INKtober. Leave comments with suggestions before I fill up. Who do you want to see the cast from my comic strip Charmy’s Army mashed up with?
