Sometimes I hear the circus calling me as well….

When I was a kid I recall a movie where a kid said he wanted to run away and join the circus. I have no idea where I heard that. It could have been an “Our Gang” comedy short. That always stuck with me because after hearing that, I always pictured fame as being part of a traveling circus. Whether you were an actor or a rock star, I always pictured the rewards coming at a huge price. In order to be famous, you have to work and promote yourself like crazy. I want my cartooning dream so badly, I am willing to promote like crazy… hit the road… make fans nationwide. In order to do that though, I need the backing of a syndicate and I need my comic strips in major newspapers across the United States.

During the month of July, I am going to make the boldest pitch ever to Go Comics and King Features. Timing could not be better. King Features is ramping up their standing in the syndication market. I feel I am the best addition they can make to aid in strengthening their new goals in this amazing industry. I have been revolutionizing the industry at comic cons all over Texas, proving people still love classic comic strips. I want to bring my success to either Go Comics or King Features if they are willing to take a small gamble and promote me and the world’s next big comic strip sensation, Charmy’s Army.

I have a plan… and it is amazing. I cannot divulge my game plan unfortunately. Just believe me, I am offering up some game changing ideas that will turn the industry around and find all new avenues for newspaper cartoonists to make lots of money producing content. Game changing. I have beat down the doors separating cartoonists and the fans. The doors have been leading to the wrong room…. I know. I have been on the pulse of the industry by vending my art at comic cons, talking to the attendees, shaping my offering and making fans. I know what needs to be done. You have to be a rock star. You have to work hard promoting, touring, making connections, greeting fans, making memories, and building your future. It is hard work, but it works. My success is proof. It is now time to bend the ear of the syndicates and let them know I can make them rich.

I am ready to work harder than any cartoonist ever thought possible and build a brand like no other….
