CRAZY WEEK!
This weekend was jam packed. I was freaking out Saturday trying to get my comic book moving at the printer. Then I was trying to do a few projects around the house which I always turn into massive projects because I am not the most handy man when it comes to being a handyman. I tried to clean the light outside next to the front door and before I knew it I had taken the dang thing completely apart so I could clean the glass better. It only took 5 minutes to take apart… but it took a half hour to get it screwed back together.
I also made some new art for Comicpalooza and sketch out a commission which I am know tightening the pencils on. I also went through my sketch cover blanks and bagged them all up. I believe OI have about 300 sketch covers now….. I need to pick up some commissions soon. I have a plan for that though. Details will be coming soon.
I now have two commissions lined up for Comicpalooza. I would love to get at least two more before the show begins. I also hope to have 15 more buttons ready and two new prints. That said, I have a full plate over the coming weeks so I may just be lucky to have my new comic books ready to sell at the show. Time will tell.
I apologize for the late post this week. I had a soccer banquet fro Travis last night. This is the last banquet ever as he is a senior this year. School sports are all over with after so many amazing years. I am so glad I put off my dream until my sons’ sports careers were over. I cannot imagine missing out on all the joy Zachary and Travis gifted me with over the past 18 years. God has truly Blessed me.
Enjoy this week’s comic strip. I need to get my strips prepped this weekend for June. Man time flies. It feels like I just completed work on my comic strips for May. To be honest though, creating this strips from start to finish is the most amazing experience. Ever since I completed this comic book which archives my last two years in syndication, all I want to do now is write and draw more comic strips. I am already working on my next issue which will archive my strips which ran online before I was picked up two and a half years ago by my first newspaper. I hope to have that comic book ready to print before Alamo City Comic Con. Of course, the printing of issue two will depend on the success of issue 1. If i am still sitting on these 150 copies if issue number one in June, I may never print another comic book ever again, lol…..
