WHO WANTS A COMIC BOOK?

That is correct. I am working on a comic book. This is not just ANY comic book… This will be a treasury collection. I am asked over and over again by my readers for a treasury collection. I cannot afford to do the traditional treasury, so I am doing something still very cool…. a comic book.

The paper quality will be superb. The inner pages will be a glossy 80# text. That means the color will pop. The cover will be 100# glossy paper meaning that the cover will look expensive. I need this comic book to look high end. This is a collection of every strip I have created for the newspapers for the past two years. This will include 104 comic strips!

The comic book will be 28 pages in length PLUS cover. The back of the cover will be used to plug my website of course. The back cover will have some cool art on it. Inside back cover will have another ad for my website and maybe a profile of myself. The twenty eight pages inside the book will be without ads. You will get 21 pages of comic strips… if my math is correct… and 7 pages of mashup art.

The cost will be $5 which will include tax. I will only print 100 to start because I am afraid I am going to order these 100 copies and end up being stuck with 75 copies when they only sell to the core readers who support me at my shows.

The BIG issue I am having though is printing cost. I need these landed at $2.50 each in order for this to make sense. I am not even close on that cost per issue goal yet. I have a bunch of local printers to call tomorrow. Who knows what’ll happen then.
