I was so thrilled to receive this request for INKtober! Here is Weaver as Barney Fife!!!

I am a huge Don Knotts fan. I consider him to be the best comedian from the golden age of television. His portrayal of the bumbling deputy sheriff Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith show was the most inventive comedic characterization in the 1960’s. Don Knotts added so many facets to character. He was neurotic yet humble. He was the most irresponsible person imaginable, but he was as heroic as they come.

When it came to his movies, I was not a fan until I was older. As a kid, I did not find his movies fun… but as a kid, I wanted movies to be silly from start to finish. Don Knott’s movies had a lot of drama mixed in, which I now appreciate. It was not until “The Apple Dumpling Gang” that I realized how great of a movie actor Don was.

So, today I chose Weaver for this INKtober mashup with Barney Fife. Personally I believe this is my best work this month… which is NEARLY over. I hope you all enjoyed my ink work this month. It took a ton of effort so I am glad this only happens once a year!!! lolol…
