Flimp as Ringo Starr

To complete my Fab Four #INKtober drawings, I conclude with Flimp the Chimp from my comic strip Charmy’s Army as the back beat of the Beatles, Ringo Starr.

How smart was Ringo? His career has seen him team up on his records with some of the biggest rock stars in history. The result was a solo career that stands up with John, Paul and George’s solo work. From “Back Off Boogaloo” to “Photograph” to “No No Song”, Ringo has had an amazing solo career.

If you are a really big fan, you’ve heard the early work of Pete Best and know that Pete was no comparison to Ringo Starr. Pete’s drum work was too heavy. I good drummer, like Ringo, knows when to turn it up and when to slide into the background. Ringo is a master at both. He can lead off with an unmistakable mark and then fade back and lead the band incognito with his magic beat.

INKtober is half way over. This has already been so much more challenging than last year. What do I do next? Hmmm…..

SUGGEST A MASH UP!!!

Got an idea for a mash up? Please leave me a comment in the suggestions.
