Fact…. I am a HUGE Cheap Trick and Beatles fan. Which do I prefer? Oh, don’t get me weighing in on this again… I know in my heart that The Beatles are by far the greatest rock band ever… and that has everything to do with one man… one musical genius. The greatest composer to have ever walked this earth, Sir Paul McCartney.

Today’s #INKtober had to be perfect and i feel I nailed it. Here is Weaver Wood from my comic strip Charmy’s Army as Sir Paul McCartney! Weaver was the perfect choice for this mashup because his facial structure just aligns magically with Paul’s features.

So, what is my favorite album from Paul? Without a doubt, it is Ram. From start to finish, that Album takes me to so many “happy places” in my life. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey takes me back to being a small kid, riding on cattle runs with my Uncle Mike. I heard it on the radio on a trip as it was raining and the song meshed with that memory.

Back Seat of My Car takes me back to a winter evening, coming home from playing a basketball game for my high school. It was on a tape I had in my cassette deck and I played it after my best game ever. I score 22 points, which was not my highest scoring game, and I remember thinking that this was as good as I may ever play again. The innocent son spoke volumes to me that cold evening. It spoke to my youth and it spoke to my future.
