Charmy as Gooser Dadburn…. aka John Wayne’s Rooster Cogburn

I am going to work on a story next week called True Twit… so I needed to get inspired. This is why I drew Charmy as Gooser Dadburn… my parody of Rooster Cogburn from the western True Grit.

If you’ve followed me from the very beginning, you would have seen True Twit play out in my second year. It was a great story that lasted seven weeks. I am not sure if any comic strip ever stuck with a tale for that long.

I am going to rework this story into one of my comic books. It will be amazing. The beginning of the story will be something you just will not expect. My goal for this comic book is to create something that everyone will talk about and something that no one will ever think I will ever top. I am going to place that bar so high. Just wait.

In the comments below, please leave me some suggestions for mashups. I have received an amazing request for my cast to be mashed up with The Munsters. I am so excited about this challenge…. and believe me, this is a REAL challenge!!!! I love The Munsters so doing Fred Gwynne and the gang right will be tough… because I am my worse critic. This better be perfect or I am not going to be happy.
