I have a BIG announcement for my comic strip, Charmy’s Army….

My comic strip begin an ongoing weekly run in The Idaho World in Boise, Idaho!!! This marks my second newspaper running my comic strip Charmy’s Army. I am so excited to have Charmy in print so far away from my home base in League City, Texas. I will be the first comic strip they have ever ran. I am hoping my comic strip brings some recognition to this newspaper and helps them grow their circulation.

This has been a trying year for me and my efforts of getting my comic strip published.

Back in January, I announced a newspaper run and it never happened. Everything was set up. paperwork was filled out and I was so excited. I sent strips to them for two months and never received payment. I called over and over again only to be told my contact was busy and would call me back. I was forced to drop all contact with them and write this experience up as growing pains.

A few months ago at my comic con appearances, I was telling everyone that I had two newspapers who would be launching my comic strip very soon. The big one was a new paper who called it quits before they published their first issue. I was disappointed of course, but I was not as crushed as I was with the previous situation I mentioned.

The second paper which  I was telling everyone about is still looking good. I am just waiting for my debut. Hopefully I will have yet another announcement to make very soon!!!
