This week starts a small storyline where French takes up tennis. If I ever become syndicated, I will be writing all sorts of stories like this. I wish I knew why the syndicates haven’t pick this comic strip up seeing as how popular Charmy’s Army has become.

Gambling on my Career

This weekend My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was such a blast. We stayed at the Golden Nugget and I actually won about 750 bucks!!!! That is better than any of my comic con shows…. so it made me really think.

My comic con appearances are nothing but a big gamble. I wonder if I am making the correct call by doing so many shows. I only have confirmed 6 shows for 2018 and I am now thinking those shows will be all I do… unless I get a free table.

I have cut Staple out of my list. I did terrible there. So did the other artists. Not the right crowd. I also did not list the Tyler Rose show because this year’s show has not taken place yet. It I do very well there, I will add it to my list…

In 2019, I will cut back even more. If I do not turn a profit at any of these shows, they will be off the list. To be honest, I really want to cut 2019 down to 4 shows. We will see. This year, I am down over a grand and with only one show left, I am going to have a very bad year. This is all because I lose money at every show. I lost over $500 alone doing Staple this year.

I am hoping by 2019 to be producing my comic book series. That said, the comic con appearances may make sense from a different perspective…. Time will tell.
