I created this animated short using AI technology for the voices, which allowed for the diverse range of characters from Rick and Morty’s cartoon series to come to life. The animation was created traditionally, frame by frame, a painstaking process that required meticulous attention to detail. This blend of cutting-edge AI with classic animation techniques not only enhances the storytelling but also provides a captivating visual experience that showcases the evolution of animation in the digital age. Through this project, I aimed to explore the harmony between technology and artistry, creating a piece that resonates with viewers on multiple levels… and create a cheap plug for my comic strip, Charmy’s Army.

How did I create the amazing voices in this Rick and Morty cartoon? I used a website called Fakeyou.com which is a website featuring a ton of cool voices that can be enabled by merely typing in some dialogue and pressing a button. Fakeyou.com harnesses the power of AI technology to create realistic voice simulations that can mimic the speech patterns of various characters and personalities, allowing users to generate custom dialogue for entertainment or creative projects. It is SO freaking easy!

The big question, of course, is… WHERE IS THE UNCENSORED VERSION? Yes, it does exist. It may never see the light of day though because the goal is to get syndicated. The national syndicates do not want a potty mouth comic strip in their portfolio, so the foul-mouth version will remain under wraps for the time being.
