Weaver woke up with a start, his heart pounding in his chest. He stumbled out of bed and looked at himself in the mirror, horrified to see his skin looking pale and his eyes bloodshot. “Oh no,” he muttered to himself, “I must be a zombie.”

The day before, Flimp the Chimp, who is now a zombie going by the name Rigg O’Mortus, bit Weaver’s arm with a ferocious snarl, causing Weaver to yelp in pain and stumble backward in shock. Rigg O’Mortus’s eyes glowed with an eerie green light as he gnashed his teeth, his undead instincts driving him to seek out more victims. Weaver, clutching his wounded arm, knew that he needed to warn the others about the terrifying transformation that had befallen poor Flimp. The eerie silence of the night was disrupted only by the distant howls and moans of other zombies, as the once peaceful jungle had now become a haunting and perilous place.

Weaver’s obsession with zombies had begun after binge-watching a series of horror movies during a rainy weekend. Throughout the following days, he couldn’t help but mimic the haunting, slow movements of the undead creatures. His family, initially amused by his antics, became concerned as Weaver’s behavior escalated. They staged interventions, attempted to reason with him, and even resorted to hiding all zombie-related media in the house. Despite their efforts, Weaver remained resolute in his belief that he had somehow turned into a member of the walking dead. It wasn’t until they brought in a close friend, a horror movie enthusiast who was able to rationalize with him, that Weaver finally began to let go of his self-imposed identity as a zombie.
