In the third comic strip dedicated to my beloved friend, Yogi Bear Jones, I wholeheartedly celebrate his exuberant, animated spirit. When Yogi was in a playful mood, he radiated joy at an electrifying ten! For such a petite dog, weighing in at just twelve pounds, he was the loudest dog I’ve ever encountered. His insatiable enthusiasm for playing ball often drove us to the brink of madness, yet I would give anything to rewind time and throw his ball until my arm fell off.
As a spirited young pup, Yogi burst with boundless energy, racing through the house with infectious enthusiasm and joy. He would play with his toys, leaping and bounding, running until he could run no more. The moment he plopped onto his cozy little bed, exhaustion wouldn’t dare linger; he would instantly drift into a deep, blissful sleep, recharging with dreams of his next thrilling escapade.
He is forever silenced now, resting in his favorite spot under my orange tree in the backyard. I visit his grave every morning, yearning to hear his heartwarming yapping. The house has become so quiet… it is surreal and unsettling at times. The love and joy Yogi brought to me and my family will be cherished forever. I am forever grateful for what God Blessed us with over those 17 blissful years.
He is eternally silenced now, cradled in his beloved resting place beneath my cherished orange tree in the backyard, which was his favorite spot to hide when he refused to come inside. Each morning, I find myself drawn to his grave, longing to hear the joyful echoes of his heartwarming yaps that once filled our home. The silence enveloping the house is profound… almost surreal and deeply unsettling at times. The boundless love and uncontainable joy that Yogi infused into my life and my family’s will be eternally treasured. I am endlessly thankful for the incredible Blessing we received from God during those 17 glorious years.
Yogi’s story is to be continued… Stay tuned for the next comic strip as I continue to share Yogi’s love throughout this Holiday Season.
