PATIENCE IS BITTER, BUT ITS FRUIT IS SWEET!
I have been VERY patient for the past 30 years. This fruit better be the sweetest tasting #$%& I have ever eaten. I have yet to ever receive a response from one of the syndicates. My newspaper count has dropped to where only two newspapers are running my comic strip… so I am only making ten dollars per week on the comic strip.
The animated series is on hold. The day job is insane. My duties around the house are stacking up. As it is, I am working until 2 in the morning three nights per week just to get the comic strips prepped for the newspapers. I am crashing and burning. Cartooning is all I ever wanted to do since I was 4 years old, and now it appears my dream is becoming a nightmare.
I will continue to be patient until my time on this earth is up. I refuse to ever give up. If I ever see success after all the sacrifices I have made, the fruit will indeed be the sweetest I have ever tasted. The problem is that by the time I am blessed with success, I probably won’t be around long enough to truly enjoy it.
Sorry for venting! I gotta go work on other projects… again… and continue to dream. At least I have my dreams.
