Today’s Charmy’s Army comic strip follows Blue as he struggles through a blind date with a woman who may be even stranger than he is.

Blue sat frozen for a moment after hearing the name Mya Lephfoot Hobbles. The restaurant around them faded into the background as he processed the fact that another human being on Earth somehow possessed a name even stranger than Blue Gene Riptonhaff.

Mya took a sip of her drink and smiled nervously. “See? I told you not to laugh.”

“I am not laughing,” Blue said honestly.

“You are staring a little.”

Blue blinked quickly. “Sorry. I just did not expect that level of coincidence.”

Mya laughed softly. “Coincidence is one word for it.”

Blue leaned back in his chair, still amazed. “Lephfoot Hobbles.”

“You do not have to repeat it like it is the name of an ancient wizard.”

“It sounds important,” Blue replied.

Mya shook her head, smiling despite herself. “Trust me, growing up with that name was not fun.”

Blue frowned slightly. “People made fun of you?”

“Not really me,” she admitted. “I had it easier than my sister.”

Blue tilted his head. “Your sister?”

Mya nodded slowly. “Terra Fiedtoe Hobbles.”

Blue stared at her again, but this time it was not out of disbelief. It was sympathy.

“That is rough,” he admitted quietly.

“It was brutal,” Mya said. “Kids were awful to her. Every single day somebody had a joke. Toe jokes. Hobbit jokes. One kid called her Terra Fried Potatoes for an entire school year.”
